Simple Birthday Bones

Very simple and dogs love them!

Prep Time: 5 min

Cook Time: 20 min

Temperature: 375 F

Ingredients:

2 cups whole-wheat flour 1 tablespoon baking powder

1 cup natural peanut butter

1 cup skim milk Cooking

Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder.

In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk.

Add wet mixture to dry, and mix well.

Turn out dough on a lightly floured surface and knead.

Roll out to 1/4-inch thick and cut out shapes.

Place on a greased baking sheet and bake 20 minutes or until lightly brown.

Cool on a rack then store in an airtight container. Makes 30 large bones


Renita's Favorite Dog Biscuits

My dogs love these and I know they are good for them

Prep Time: 10 min

Cook Time: 60 min

Temperature: 325

Ingredients: 2 1/2 Cup Whole wheat flour

1/2 Cup Powdered milk

6 Tablespoons margarine softened

1 egg 1/2 cup water

1/2 peanut butter or powdered cheese or liver powder

Cooking Directions: 1. Mix all ingredients well 2. Roll or pat out to 1/4" thick 3. Cut with cookie cutters (cat, dog bones, etc.) or cut into strips 1/2" X 3" 4.

Bake 325 to 350 F for 1 hour (ovens vary - try for a light brown)


Favorite Cheese & Garlic Dog Biscuits

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Temperature: 375

Ingredients:

4 cups whole wheat flour

1 cup corn meal 1/2 cup veg. oil

1 1/4 cup water

3 tbl. garlic powder

1 cup shredded cheese

Cooking Directions: Mix dry ingredients in large mixing bowl, add oil & water. Once your mixture has formed a dough, add cheese. Continue to mix until all the cheese is involved. On a wheat floured surface, roll out 1/2 of the dough to approx. 1/4" thick and cut with assorted shapes of cookie cutter. Line up biscuits on cookie sheet and bake for about 30 min. or until totally brown. Cool before serving.


Peanut Butter and Honey Biscuit your dog will love!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Temperature: 350 Ingredients:

3/4 cup flour

1 egg 1 teaspoon peanut butter

1/4 cup vegetable shortening

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon honey


Cooking Directions: heat peanut butter and honey until runny together. mix other ingredients together then add the peanut butter and honey. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.


Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

1 ½ cups water

½ cup oil

2 eggs

3 tablespoons peanut butter

2 tsp. vanilla

2 cups flour

½ cup cornmeal

½ cup oats

Blend wet ingredients together. Whisk dry ingredients together and mix into wet mixture to form a ball of dough. Roll out and shape. Put onto a non-stick cookie tray or lightly greased one. Cook 20 minutes at 400 F. Turn off oven and allow the biscuits to cool in oven until crisp and hard. Store in airtight container.


Archie Squares

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

1/2 cup powdered dry milk

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. brown sugar or honey

6 tbs. meat or bacon drippings, cold right from refrigerator, not melted or soft!

1 egg, slightly beaten

1/2 cup Ice water

Preheat oven to 350F.

Lightly oil a cookie sheet. Combine flour, dry milk, garlic powder and sugar. Cut in meat drippings until mixture resembles corn meal. Mix in egg. Add enough water so that mixture forms a ball. Using your fingers, pat out dough onto cookie sheet to 1/2" thick. Cut dough into squares appropriate for your dog size. Prick each cookie with fork. Bake 25-30 minutes. Remove from tray and cool on rack. Store in airtight container.


Buddy Boy Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:

1 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder

1/2 cup oats, rolled (raw) -- quick cooking

1/2 cup yellow cornmeal

1 teaspoon sugar Instructions:

Cut in 1/3 cup shortening until mix is coarse crumbs. Stir in 1 egg. Dissolve 1 tablespoon instant chicken or beef bouillon granules in 1/2 cup water. Stir liquid into flour mix with a fork. Form dough into a ball and knead on floured board for 5 minutes. Divide ball in half and roll each portion until 1/2 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter or shape biscuits. Put 6 on a plate and microwave at medium for 5 to 10 minutes or until firm and dry to touch. Turn biscuits over after 1/2 cooking time.
